For sale is my 1965 Royal Enfield 250 Crusader – a rare and increasingly collectible British lightweight classic from the golden era of Redditch-built Enfields. Powered by the lively 248cc OHV single-cylinder engine, the Crusader was one of Royal Enfield’s best-selling 250s and became well known for its strong performance, lightweight handling, and unmistakable 1960s styling. Period road tests praised these bikes for their smooth power delivery and sporty feel, with later models offering impressive performance for a learner-legal 250 of the time.
This 1965 model represents the final years of UK production before the Redditch factory closed, making it a desirable machine for collectors, classic riders, and café racer enthusiasts alike. The Crusader shared much of its engineering DNA with the legendary Continental GT café racer introduced in the same era.
