Meet the Team

All our Instructors have been assessed by the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) and rated at the highest level. Every Instructor at Pass Bike is a qualified tutor achieving a Level 3 Award in Education and Motorcycle Instructor Training. They are advanced riders themselves, have years of riding experience and hold a current level 3 certificate in emergency first aid for motorcyclists. Our chief instructor is only one of a very small number of riders to hold the special test accreditation from the DVSA and be licenced to teach emergency riding courses for NHS Ambulance Trusts.

Our front of house team have a wealth of time served experience in the motorcycle industry so whether you are new to riding and need information, looking for a new bike or need parts do not hesitate to ask. Our workshop team have manufacturer accreditation from BSA, Peugeot, Neco and Bluroc as well as being approved by the Institute of the Motor Industry so you can rest assured your bike is in good hands.

Director, Chief Motorcycle Instructor, ADI, MOT Tester and Workshop Technician

I started Pass Bike in 2013 as a sole instructor teaching mainly advanced courses and after lots of requests I started doing CBT and DAS. I’ve been in the motorcycle trade since 1987 and I have 38 years of motor experience in multiple garages. I am a fully qualified motorcycle instructor, ADI and the author of the Level 3 motorcycle instructor course. As the chief motorcycle instructor, I started Pass Bike as I love seeing people progress from beginners to advanced motorcyclists. My favourite bike has to be Hesketh v1000!

IMI Centre Co-ordinator

I first started working at Pass Bike in November 2016 and I haven’t looked back since! I have 9 years of experience in the motorcycle trade and I am qualified in Business and Administration. There is something quite special about meeting a customer for the first time, chatting about to them about starting their journey on learning how to ride and then watching their milestones to come. I love riding scooters and before I went on maternity leave I was riding a Peugeot Tweet 125. It was so reliable and easy to manoeuvre!

I have been working at Pass Bike for 12 years, I have an extensive amount of experience including my qualifications as an IMI motorcycle mechanic, Certified Automotive Engineer, Direct Access instructor, Level 3 teaching qualification… the list goes on! I love to pair people with their dream bikes and return old bikes back on the road through our workshop. My favourite bike of all time is the Honda City Express, it was my first ever moped at 16 years old and I got to experience the world at a whopping… 28mph!

I have 20 years experience in the motorcycle trade and i first began working in my dads family business, Julian Soper Motorcycles when i was just 16. I learnt everything i know about motorcycles from him! At Sopers I would order parts, serve customers and organise stock. When Sopers closed in 2021, I worked at other motorcycle shops and then i was headhunted by Ian to work at Pass Bike. I have been here since April 2023 and i love greeting customers and being a part of the Pass Bike team, It means so much to me that i have continued to work in a family business. I have plenty of knowledge and experience with workshop and motorcycle parts, so please ask me any questions that you may have at the front desk! My favourite bike has to be a Yamaha R1, its an iconic bike and very aesthetically pleasing!

Senior Motorcycle Instructor

I have been riding for 22 years and have been at Pass Bike training students for a total of 6 years now, I love training and mentoring people from their first rides through to their full licences. Motorcycles are of course a passion of mine too- so this job is perfect for me! I am a qualified CBT and DAS instructor, MOT Tester and I have also completed my Level 3 Teaching Qualification. My favourite bike is an MV Agusta F4.

Before I began working for Pass Bike in 2026, I was a customer for many years! I have such a passion for motorcycling and I love seeing students start their motorcycle journeys and working their way up the different levels. I'm happy to answer any of your Training or Sales questions and you can find me on the Front Desk in our Shop in Rochford! My favourite Bike has to be the Honda Rebel, its a comfy, reliable bike and where I am short, both my feet touch the ground with ease!

My first visit to Pass Bike was for my Full Licence training, I’ve always enjoyed learning new things so I felt that the next step for me was to progress to becoming an Instructor. Seeing a student sitting on a motorcycle for the first time to then leaving with a licence, knowing that I had a part in their journey is so incredibly rewarding! I am a trained motorcycle instructor through Pass Bike, and I love to bring the best out of my students and keep them engaged through my energetic approach. I have worked at Pass Bike for roughly a year now and my favourite bike is either a 2020 Ducati Panigale V4 R or a 2009 Honda CBR600RR Splash Edition.

I have been riding for around 39 years and I am a qualified CBT instructor, I love meeting new people and taking someone from the beginning with no experience to being able to ride on the road confidently, safely and independently! I have been an instructor for 7 months with Pass Bike and i have also completed my Level 3 Teaching qualification, my favourite bike of all time is a Ducati Panigale.

I have 8 years of experience in Automotive Product Development and previously worked with Royal Enfield, Triumph and Daimler Trucks North America. I changed careers in 2025 as i wanted to be able to talk to motorcyclists and aspiring motorcyclists more! So i joined Pass Bike through their Motorcycle Instructor Course late 2025, and my favourite part about the role is meeting people from diverse backgrounds, listening to their stories, and above all, the pleasure of teaching them to learn how to ride. My favourite bike has to be the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE, although the new 2025/2026 BMW R12 G/S is a close competitor.

When I was 16, I decided that I wanted to ride a motorcycle. I completed my full license training through Pass Bike and applied for their motorcycle technician role! Now 10 years later, I have a collection of 8 different motorcycles and I have passed my IMI Motorcycle Technician Course! I love working on multi stage diagnostics where I am working through a process to locate, rectify and then test for success. I have been working at Pass Bike for 2 years, there is a very strong team spirit within the team which I find very warm and welcoming to be a part of, My favourite motorcycle is a Yamaha XT660X.

I have 20 + years of motorcycle experience and I am qualified in Motor Vehicle Engineering. At Pass Bike, I am also a qualified MOT tester for class 1 and 2 Vehicles. I’ve bought so many bikes at Pass Bike that I couldn’t resist working here too, I have been here part time in the workshop for just under 1 year now! My favourite bike of all time is a Norton V4!

I began working in the motorcycle trade in the early 1980s, for my Dads family business, John Parker Motorcycles. In the last 45 years, I have gained invaluable experience in fixing and MOT testing a variety of different motorcycles. I sold John Parker Motorcycles to Pass Bike roughly around 3 years ago and I work there now part-time within their Workshop and offering deliveries of customer motorcycles. My favourite part of the job is the people i work with and the customers i get to meet!

In 2021, I attended a one day maintenance course with Moe and I absolutely loved it! From there onwards, I have studied intermediate motorcycle mechanics at New City College in London and I am hoping to sit my IMI exam soon. I have a real thirst for mechanical knowledge and I always look forward to my “Workshop Wednesdays!” No two bikes are the same and every day I learn something new. My favourite bike is my Suzuki DR350 SE 1998! It’s a single cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke dual sport dream machine!

My favourite thing about Pass Bike is the people I work with and my favourite bike has to be a 2009 Yamaha R1 in Blue and Gold.

I first worked at Pass Bike when I was 16 as a retail assistant, since I have had training in social media marketing, strategy and optimisation and I cover social media and marketing communications at Pass Bike. I love being creative, so filming and editing videos of staff and products are my absolute favourite! You’ll usually find me running around with a camera or editing at my desk in the tearoom! My favourite bike has to be the UM Renegade Vegas as it was one of my first bikes that I ever recorded in our Pass Bike studio in 2022!
