Whats Involved

Our Motorcycle Maintenance Classes are back for 2024! The courses comprise of sessions taking you through all aspects of basic motorcycle maintenance upon completion of the course you will be given a DVSA Enhanced Rider Scheme certificate in Motorcycle Maintenance.

We also offer a 4 day advanced course which is designed to build on the foundation of the 1 day course.

1 Day Course:

  • Session 1: Routine Maintenance such as Safety Checks, Chain Cleaning/Lubrication, Cable Lubrication, Fluid Checks etc
  • Session 2: Chassis and Frame such as Wheel Bearing Checks/Changes, Shock Absorber Pivot Lubrication etc
  • Session 3: Engine Servicing such as Oil and Filter Changes, Air Filter Changes, Basic Valve Clearances etc
  • Session 4: Braking System such as Fluid Changes, Bleeding Brakes, Changing Brake Pads/Shoes
  • Session 5: Electrical Systems such as Basic Fault Diagnosis and Preventative Maintenance

4 Day Course:

  • Day 1: Chassis and Frame such as Wheel Bearing Checks/Changes, Fork Seals, Chain and Sprocket Changes etc
  • Day 2: Engine Servicing such as Oil and Filter Changes, Air Filter Changes, Valve Clearances, Cylinder Head Removal etc
  • Day 3: Braking System such as Fluid Changes, Bleeding Brakes, Caliper/Master Cylinder Rebuilds 
  • Day 4: Electrical/Fuel Systems such as Fault Diagnosis, Loom Repairs, Relay Installation etc
