At Pass Bike Motorcycle Training, we are compliant with the UK General Data Protection Regulations. As such need to make you aware of the way in which we as a Motorcycle Training School will store and use any personal data kept about you. When purchasing a course, students give Pass Bike their full Name, email address, telephone number, address, D.O.B and driving licence number (if required). These details are stored electronically and sometimes on Paper in a DVSA DL196 (CBT) Book. This information is stored for two years under requirement by the DVSA. Stored information can only be accessed by authorised staff.
Students details are not shared with third parties unless it is required, for booking a motorcycle test or under statutory requirement.
Refunds and Cancellations. Courses cancelled less than 14 days prior to the start date or during the course will not be refunded and all fees forfeited. Courses may be rescheduled without the loss of course fees once only. Requests to reschedule a course must be received 14 days before the start of the course. All deposits are non refundable. Naturally courses cancelled or rescheduled at the company’s discretion will not be subject to charge. I Understand that if I appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs my course will be cancelled and no refund or replacement will be applicable. The companies decision in this matter is final.
I confirm I have a current provisional driving licence entitlement to ride the company’s motorcycle or scooter. I understand that whilst riding a motorcycle or scooter provided by Pass Bike Ltd that I’m liable for any road traffic or local authority fines and or penalties incurred. Verbal or any other form of abuse toward staff and students is not tolerated and will result in the course being terminated. Motorcycling can be dangerous, I understand that I am responsible for my own safety and must take shared responsibility for my learning. I save as exempt the company and directors of Pass Bike Ltd from any liability, claim or action during or after using any product or service provided by the company. If I do not understand what the instructor has asked, I must ask for clarification before starting the task. I understand that my course may be ended early with forfeit of payment if I ignore any safety instructions that put myself, other customers or staff at risk.
I confirm I am in good health and do not suffer from any conditions that may affect my ability to ride, drive or hold a licence. A full list of conditions is available at www.gov.uk/health-conditions-and-driving or by asking to view the Pass Bike Medical Conditions Policy.
I agree to wear appropriate motorcycle safety equipment as required by the company and DVSA guidelines during my course. Failure to wear the correct protective equipment will result in the course being cancelled without refund or replacement.
I understand that I’m liable for the cost of any repairs and parts resulting from damage caused to the motorcycle or scooter whilst in my possession during my training to a maximum liability of £500.
I understand that if a Full Licence test is cancelled by the DVSA, I will not be charged for a replacement test and the continuation of training if applicable. A new test will be arranged at a mutually convenient time. A charge of £40 will be payable for motorcycle hire for the rearranged test.
I understand that if I am unable to attend a training or test day I must inform Pass Bike as soon as possible. Half an hours "grace" is given at the start of each training and test session. Arrivals after this time will forfeit the whole session without refund or replacement. Pass Bike reserves the right to ask a student to stop training if it is considered they are not in good health. Lost sessions will not be refunded or rescheduled.
I understand that if I am not ready to progress onto the road ride section of CBT by hour 6 of my course, I will need to return to continue training in order to complete CBT. Extra sessions will be chargeable.
It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure that they have a valid theory, driving licence and CBT certificate for the duration of their DAS course, these must be carried at all times and be ready for inspection by your instructor or examiner. All Workshop repairs must be collected within 1 week of completion, a storage charge of £10 a day will be applied to all vehicles not collected. All repairs must be paid in full before collection, the company reserves the right to seize vehicles until payment is made in full. Storage charges will still apply in this circumstance.
Warranty CONDITIONS AND EXCLUSIONS for used vehicles with a Return to Base Warranty.
1. The machine must not have been used for track days or competition, *misused, inadequately maintained, or incorrectly serviced or maintained.
2. The machine must not have been crashed. A crashed machine will not be covered under this warranty.
3. In the event of mechanical failure, the machine must not have been modified or repaired using parts not authorized or recommended by the manufacturer and must have been fitted by a VAT registered motorcycle garage.
4. The machine must be serviced by a VAT registered motorcycle garage.
Any missing service history may invalidate the warranty.
5. Defects caused by faulty adjustment, or repairs and alterations performed by an individual or amateur mechanic are not covered by this warranty.
6. Defects caused by the use of parts and accessories not authorised by Pass Bike LTD within the warranty period are not covered by this warranty.
7. The warranty does not cover the cost of removal and replacement of parts and accessories, unless supplied at the time of sale.
8. The warranty does not cover the cost of recovery or transporting the motorcycle to
or from Pass Bike LTD. Nor does it cover the cost of storage or expenses incurred whilst the machine is off the road for warranty repairs.
9. Normal service items, such as spark plugs, air filters, oil filters are not covered
by this warranty. Other items not covered (but not limited to) are those items which are expected to wear as part of their normal function such as, brake linings, brake discs, chains, sprockets, clutch plates, bulbs, control cables and tyres unless they are the subject of a manufacturing defect.
10. Other exclusions from the warranty are damage to seats, luggage, paint, chrome,
polished aluminium items, screens, plastic panels where damage has been caused by
normal wear and tear, exposure to Corrosive elements, such as salt, weather,
or subject to lack of or inappropriate care. * Misuse includes any use not in accordance
with the owners hand book and use contrary to any warnings given in the
owners hand book. In addition misuse will include but not be limited to neglect or any use of the motorcycle that does not constitute normal road use.
11. The warranty does not cover motorcycles used for commercial purposes such as motorcycles used for promotion, hire, loan or courier work.
12. The warranty does not cover faults, defects or damage caused by faults or
defects that have not been reported to us within two days of discovering the fault.
13. The warranty does not cover damage or faults caused by the use of inadequate
coolant, lubricant or non recommended lubricants or fuels or fuel additives. (The user should check fluid levels regularly. See the Owners Manual)
14. The warranty does not cover damage or faults caused by freezing, overheating,
ingress of foreign objects or water.
15. The warranty does not cover any third party claims, resultant losses, bodily injury, road hazard damage or fire damage.
16. It is the responsibility of the owner to regularly check for loose nuts and bolts, this
warranty does not cover damaged caused by loose or missing nuts and bolts (unless
the loose or missing nuts or bolts are inside the unopened engine)
17. Pass Bike LTD shall not be liable for loss of income, use, inconvenience, lost time, commercial losses or other incidental or consequential damages.
18. The warranty is not transferable to another owner.
This warranty shall be interpreted in accordance with English law and any question arising from this warranty shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English
courts. Any statement, representation, condition, description, or warranty otherwise
contained in any manual, catalogue, brochure, advertisement or other publication shall not be construed as varying, enlarging or overriding anything contained herein.
Pass Bike LTD Reserve the right to alter or improve without notice any motorcycle without obligation and to do the same to motorcycles already sold. Your statutory rights are not affected by this warranty.
